{All we need is some reins and we too can be riders of Rohan.}

Inner Wild Spruce Harris Tweed Wool Mitts – let’s call them Rohan Celtic Mitts – are hand knitted in rustic Harris Tweed Wool. It’s a rich, tweedy, forest green shade with tiny speckles reds and yellows.

For centuries the folk of the Outer Hebrides islands of Harris, Lewis, Uist and Barra have spun and carded the wool of local hardy sheep to create one of the world’s most rough, strong and enduring fabrics: Harris Tweed.

Woven on hand looms in tiny croft houses and sheds across the remote islands off Scotland, Harris Tweed wool is also produced in small quantities as a hard-wearing wool for hand knitting.

Now you can enjoy the benefits of fingerless gloves hand knitted in traditional Harris Tweed yarn; its properties of toughness against the elements and ability to keep your skin warmer naturally and still breathe make it unique.

This is not a yarn for lily-livered living. This is coarse, pure wool. It’s the kind of wool you’d wear to ride to Mordor, traverse tundra, climb mountains, ford tidal estuaries and wrangle otters, repair fences in a storm, carry newborn lambs and calves, build drystone walls and plant seed potatoes, hold a fishing rod and a mug of scalding coffee in the rain.

It’s 100% Pure New Wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides and plied {twisted} by hand on the Isle of Harris. Beautiful for men and women, Inner Wild Celtic Mitts in Harris Tweed will endure with your adventures and when you take them off at home your pets will find them and curl up and sleep on them. {At least that’s what happens at my house.}
